Silmat Color is an ultra-matte, elastic decorative sealant, designed for applications where functionality and aesthetics need to work hand in hand.

It keeps the joint intact, flexible, and watertight even when the substrate moves or is exposed to moisture and temperature changes.

How to Apply Silmat Color

Silmat Color is ready to use — no mixing or additional preparation is required. For the best results, proper surface preparation and correct joint formation are essential.

1. Prepare the joint

Thoroughly clean the surface. It must be dry and completely free of dust, grease, and loose particles.

2. For a precise, clean finish

If the joint will remain visible, apply masking tape along the edges. This will help create a clean, straight line.

3. Apply the sealant

Cut the nozzle at a 45° angle according to the width of the joint. Apply the sealant evenly, ensuring that the joint is filled to its full depth.

4. Tool the joint

Tool the surface of the joint within approximately 5 minutes using a spatula lightly moistened with soapy water.

5. Remove the masking tape

Remove the masking tape immediately after tooling the joint.
